DRACUT, MA- Lindsey A. Hubert, 29, died unexpectedly, Sunday, April 26th at her residence. Lindsey was born in Lowell, MA on June 9, 1985, daughter of Ronald and Kathryn (Pater) Hubert. She was educated in Dracut and a graduate of Dracut High School, class of 2003. LOWELL- Vladimir B. Akopian, 76, died Saturday, April 25th, at Lowell General Hospital, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Rimma L. Akopian. Vladimir was born in Nagorno – Karabakh, Azerbaijan on February 17, 1939. He was a son of the late Amest and Bakhshy Akopian. He was employed as a correctional officer at a prison in Baku, Azerbaijan and retired when he moved here to the United States on April 22, 1993. In addition to his wife, Vladimir is survived by his two children, Larissa Akopian and her husband Vadim Akopov and Marina Akopian and her husband Gennadiy Dadaian all of Lowell; two grandchildren Leo Akopov and Milana Dadaian; as well as his siblings and family in Armenia and Pennsylvania. HOLLIS, NH – Debra Lynne (Otto) Field, 56, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 1, 2015 at her home in Hollis, NH. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Field, with whom she shared 33 loving years of marriage. Debra was born in Lowell, MA on May 19, 1958, a daughter of the late Orin M. and Norma A. (Laurie) Otto. She was raised in Dracut, MA and graduated from Dracut High School. For 19 years, she worked as a Customer Service Representative for Colonial Gas Company before most recently working 17 years at Nashua Pathology. Debra enjoyed spending her summers on Ossipee Lake. Her greatest joy in life however were her three children and spending time with her family. Debra touched many lives and will be greatly missed by her many friends and everyone that knew her and enjoyed her sense of humor and love of life. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her three children Ashley, Colby, and Lorin Field, all of Hollis, NH; her two brothers, Steven Otto and his wife, Susan of Chelmsford, MA, and Gregg Otto and his wife, Carol of Lyndeborough, NH; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. FT. LAUDERDALE, FL- Lawrence “Larry” M. Kane, 74, of Tamarac, FL died peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Holy Cross Hospital in Florida. Larry was born in Lowell on April 4, 1941. He was the son of the late Robert and Ellen (Brady) Kane. He received his education in the Lowell School Systems and was a graduate of Lowell High School. He owned Larry Kane Auto Exchange, a used car dealership, for over 50 years until his retirement. He was very well known in Lowell because of his successful business. In his free time, Larry enjoyed fishing, dancing as well as bowling in his younger years. He is survived by his companion and best friend, Lucia DaSilva of Tamarac, FL; his three daughters, and four grandchildren. John Kondra
Deland, FL – John S. Kondra, of Deland, Florida, formerly of Dracut, MA passed away on April 30, 2015, following a brief illness, at the age of 95. He was the beloved husband of Mary A. (Kosowicz) Kondra with whom he shared 73 years of marriage. John was born and raised in Dracut, the son of the late John and Stella (Drisco) Kondra. A proud American, he served in the United States Army during World War II, under General Patton and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Purple Heart. Prior to his retirement, John was employed by General Electric Company, Jet Engines Division, in Lynn, MA. He was a competitive athlete. In his younger years he could be found competing on the tennis courts in the Lowell City Tournament and until very recently on the shuffleboard courts in Florida. He also enjoyed duck pin bowling and playing bridge. He was a boisterous supporter of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. He was a lifelong member of the Polish American Veterans Club of Lowell, MA. In addition to his wife, John leaves four daughters, Carole A. Williams, of Lowell, MA, Janice and Robert Bagshaw, of East Kingston, NH, Marilyn and George Skianes, of Salisbury, MA and Mary Jane Kukulski, of Dracut, MA, ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. John also leaves his brother Ainsworth Kondra, of Dracut, MA and his sister Frances Puglisi, of Derry, NH. He was predeceased by his son in laws, James Williams and Frank Kukulski, as well as his sisters, Stella Garbowski, Pauline Indurre, and Alice Snapausky. Adam Jacobs
WINDHAM, N.H.- Adam R. Jacobs, 23, died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack at his home on April 28, 2015. Adam was born in Methuen, MA on August 2, 1991. He was the beloved son of Robert W. Jacobs, stepmother, Amy Jacobs, and mother, Michelle Cimics. He was pre-deceased by his uncle Dickie Cimics, who he cared for right up until he died from ALS. He graduated from Triton Regional High School, and then attended UMass Lowell until he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Adam had just proudly completed four years of service in the United States Army. During his time in the military, he served in Afghanistan and was awarded a medallion from a four-star general for his bravery and hard work. He was extremely ambitious and highly motivated at every adventure he took on. In fact, his favorite book was Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude, by W. Clement Stone. He was the type of person that you could talk to for two minutes, and you would feel like he had been your best friend for ten years. Adam will forever be remembered as the most harmless and loving man that family and friends could ask for. He always had a smile on his face, and if you needed anything at all his favorite answer was “Yes.” If God created a person with a perfect soul and the right amount of kindness, Adam was it. He will be sorely missed, but over time the hole torn from our hearts will be graciously filled with exactly what he would want to instill in us; his drive of success through a positive mental attitude. DRACUT- Claire F. (Desmond) Tovey, a longtime resident of Dracut, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 10, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of James H. Tovey, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage. Claire was born in Cambridge on January 1, 1945 to the late Daniel J. and Laura F. (Regan) Desmond. She was a graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School. Prior to her retirement, Claire worked as a Telephone and Switchboard Operator for Lowell General Hospital for over 17 years. In her spare time, Claire enjoyed working in her garden and making ceramics. Her most cherished time was spent loving and caring for her devoted family, especially her grandson. She will always be remembered as the greatest mother, grandmother, and sister a family could ask for. In addition to her husband, Claire is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughter Laura Ann Neville and her husband Kevin of Pelham, NH; a grandson, Nathan Neville of Pelham, NH; two brothers, Daniel Desmond and his wife Deborah of Nashua, NH, and Brian Desmond and his wife Robin of Milford, NH; three sisters, Ann King and her husband James of Lowell, Barbara Wicks of Washington, NH, and Judith Correia and her husband John of Billerica; as well as many nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. DRACUT- Robert L. “Bob” Stone, 78, a longtime resident of Dracut, died peacefully, Wednesday, May 13th, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Priscilla E. (Barry) Stone, with whom he shared 55 loving years of marriage. Bob was born in Maine, on January 13, 1937. He was a son of the late Robert W. Stone and Marie (Fisher) Quinn. He was a graduate of Lowell High School, and then went on to earn an associate’s degree at Lowell Commercial College. Prior to his retirement, Bob was a construction worker for various companies. Bob will always be remembered for the many years that he dedicated to coaching Little League Baseball in Dracut, something that he loved and looked forward to every year. In addition to his wife, Priscilla, Bob is survived and will be deeply missed by his son, Barry Stone and his wife Denise of Billerica; two grandchildren, Erik Stone of Billerica, and Sarah Giordano and her husband Robert of Dracut; a brother, Dexter Stone and his wife Beverly of Clinton, IN; two sisters-in-law, Rita Larmand, and Lorraine Gaucher, both of Dracut; as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Bob was predeceased by his cherished son, Dana A. DUNSTABLE- Robert J. Dingle, 86, of Dunstable and a long time resident of Tynsgboro, passed away on May 13, 2015 after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of June M. (Brideau) Dingle, with whom he would have celebrated their 60th anniversary on July 3rd of this year. Bob was born in Saugus, MA on December 1, 1928. He was the son of the late James A. and Marion M. (Tainish) Dingle. He was educated in Tyngsboro and Lowell schools, and was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1951. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his daughter Janet M. Kempton and her husband Les of Friday Harbor, Washington; his son Jason E. Dingle and his partner Barbara Slone of Cranston, RI; his daughter Robin J. Brun and her husband John of Hudson, NH; and his son R. John Dingle and his wife Lisa of Dunstable, MA. He was also the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Janet Berry and her husband Norman of Tyngsboro. Bob was predeceased by his sisters Geneieve Connors and Marion F. Bomal. All services were held privately. TYNGSBORO, MA- David C. Scott, 90, a long time resident of Tyngsboro, died Monday, May 11th at Lowell General Hospital after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Grace M. (Thomson) Scott, with whom he shared many loving years of marriage. David was born in Westford, MA on June 29, 1924, son of the late David and Agnes (Kjelvik) Scott. LITCHFIELD, NH- Linda C. (LaRiviere) Iwanicki, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Iwanicki, with whom she would have celebrated 30 years of marriage on June 8th. Linda was born in Lowell, MA on March 16, 1964 to Donald and Patricia (LeBlanc) LaRiviere. She was a graduate of Tyngsboro High School, and then went on to attend Middlesex Community College. Linda enjoyed a rewarding professional career with Sun Microsystems, now Oracle, for over 25 years. She most recently held the position of program manager at their Burlington, MA office. Linda loved spending her time outside at home, in her beautiful yard and perennial flower gardens. Linda also enjoyed traveling, particularly cherishing her annual trips to Florida. She most recently traveled to Clearwater Beach, where she spent her time enjoying the sunshine with friends and loved ones. She was always happiest with her toes in the sand and a drink in her hand. In addition to her husband and parents, Linda is survived and will be deeply missed by her son, Brian Iwanicki of Mountain View, CA; two brothers, Dan LaRiviere and his wife Erika of Hudson, NH, and Dave LaRiviere and his wife Lisa of Dunstable, MA; a niece, Genevieve LaRivere; and three nephews, David and Derek LaRiviere, and Matthew Iwanicki and his wife Jessi. CHELMSFORD, MA- Emile J. Ste. Marie, 88, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Palm Center Nursing Home in Chelmsford. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene E. (Cormier) Ste. Marie who passed away in 2010. Born in Lowell, on April 19, 1927, Emile was a son of the late Herve and Ella (Allard) Ste. Marie. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Prior to his retirement, Emile worked as a Machine Mechanic at Unifirst in Wilmington. In his free time, Emile enjoyed reading and wood working and was also a lifelong member of the VFW. Marilyn C. Canfield age 69 of Brockton died Tuesday May 19, 2015 at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center after a brief illness. Marilyn was born in Bronxville, New York and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late Guyton and Ida (Anderson) Canfield. She was a 1963 graduate of Brockton High School and received her BA from U Mass Amherst in 1967. Marilyn earned her Master in Education in 1971 from Bridgewater State College. Marilyn’s 36 year career in education was spent with the Brockton School Department where she had been a teacher at the Whitman Elementary School. She retired in 2003. Marilyn had been a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Sorority. In her free time, Marilyn enjoyed craft fairs, scrap booking and solving crossword and Sudoku puzzles. She also volunteered at Old Colony Elder Services in Brockton. Marilyn also enjoyed spending time with her friends and going to the movies. Her true joy in life was her dogs, Beau, Lola and Katie; they were her children. Marilyn is survived by her brother Robert W. Canfield of N. Eastham and her three nieces and two nephews Linda Canfield of Brockton, Cynthia Ferreira of Taunton, Laurie Canfield Nabozny of Dracut, Robert W. Canfield, Jr. and Donald Canfield both of Taunton. Nashua, NH- Virginia P. (Cunningham) Abisi, 67, passed away Tuesday, May 19th, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, with her loving family by her side. Virginia was born in Lowell, MA on July 21, 1947, a daughter of the late Eugenia (Rallis) and John Cunningham. She was educated in Lowell and a graduate of Lowell High School. For many years, Virginia worked in the Insurance Industry as a business analyst, most recently for the Concord Group. Virginia’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved spending time with them and was a dedicated, devoted and loving, mother and grandmother. Virginia is survived and will be deeply missed by her 2 children, Nick Abisi and his wife Stephanie of Carmel, Indiana, and Kari Medeiros of Nashua; their father, Michael Abisi of Lowell; 3 grandchildren, Michael, Rachel and Grace; her siblings, Betty, Sandy, Andrea, Sophia, Julie and Jack; the entire Abisi Family, whom she loved so much, as well as many nieces and nephews. Wanda Bardzik
DRACUT, MA- Wanda (Klatka) Bardzik, 86, died peacefully, Monday, May 18th, at Wingate at Belvedere in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late, Henry Bardzik, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage until his passing on September 28, 2014. Born in Lowell, MA on August 25, 1928, Wanda was a daughter of the late Joseph and Jozefa (Wasik) Klatka. She was educated in Lowell, and a graduate of Lowell High School. Wanda was a dedicated and devoted communicant of the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity, in Lowell, where she volunteered countless hours of her time. For many years, she helped with the church bingo on Saturdays, prepared Polish food for various events, and was also a member of the Senior Citizen’s Club, Our Lady of Czestochowa Society, as well as singing in the choir for many years. She also loved traveling and had the privilege of visiting Europe with her church friends, cooking, and visiting Maine and New Hampshire in the summer with her family. Wanda was a loving, and caring woman who always put her family and church before herself. She will be deeply missed by all of the lives she touched. Wanda is survived and will be deeply missed by her four sons, Michael Bardzik and his wife Jessica Bardzik Danh of New Port Ritchey, FL, Henry Bardzik and his wife Aimy of Islesboro, ME, David Bardzik and Robert Bardzik both of Effingham, NH; her two daughters, Kathleen Descoteaux of Dracut, and Patricia Millman of Summerworth, NH; nine grandchildren, Jason, Benjamin, Shaun, Steven, Christopher, Jenna, Elissa, Melissa, and Victoria; and three great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Aaliyah, and Lana; as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Florence and Kay. DRACUT, MA- Charles S. “Charlie” Keefe, 56, from a well known Dracut Center family, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 23, 2015 in Dracut. He was the beloved husband of Suzanne H. (Joyal) Keefe, with whom he was married to for 34 years. Charlie was born in Lowell on November 13, 1958, to Joan M. (Sullivan) and Thomas W. Keefe, Sr. He was a graduate of Dracut High School, class of 1976. For the past 12 years, he worked as an Optical Technician for Roper Industries in Acton. Charlie loved Rock n’ Roll music and was an avid fan of The Who. In his spare time, he also enjoyed his “Sue & Chuck’s” yard sales and watching NASCAR. Above all, Charlie will always be remembered as a kind hearted, sweet, and generous man who loved his family more than anything. His sense of humor and smile will be missed by all. Keefe and her companion Christopher Blais of Rio Rancho, NM, and Thomas W. “Tim” Keefe of Lowell; his mother-in-law Irene Joyal of Dracut, a Goddaughter, Erika Keefe; and a Godson, Nicolas Laforge; as well as many brother in-laws and sister in laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
