DRACUT, MA – David E. Leahy, 51, beloved husband of Amy (French) Leahy died Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH with his loving family by his side. He endured a 3 year courageous and valiant battle with cancer, a fight he never gave up. David was born in Natick, MA on November 23, 1963, son of Lee (Cummings) Norris and the late Raymond E. Leahy. He was a graduate of Burlington High School’s class of 1982 and studied at Northeastern University. For many years he worked as a Quality Manager for Precision Technologies in Tyngsboro and his family would like to express their gratitude for all the love and support this company has provided over the past few years. David enjoyed playing the drums and guitar, and he shared a passion for hockey and the Boston Bruins with his 9 year old son. His greatest joy came from his family whom he loved so much. David’s love of life, unsinkable sense of humor, and bravery during his illness serves as an inspiration. He is a hero to his family and will remain in their hearts forever. In addition to his loving wife Amy, David is survived and will be deeply missed by his son Cameron of Dracut, his daughter Jacquelyn of Boston; his mother Lee Norris and her husband Alan Norris of Burlington; his siblings Brian Leahy, Deb Haught, and Kelly Pivoney; his parents-in-law, Clay and Linda French of Dracut; and his non-biological “sister” Jackie McLoon. He was pre-deceased by his sister Lynda Leahy.
