LOWELL- Rocco F. Carter, 77, died on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Linda J. (Ouellet) Carter who predeceased him on April 4, 1997. Rocco was born in Lowell on January 7, 1937, the son of the late Frank and Josephine (Lorenzo) Carter. He was educated and was a graduate of Lowell High School. Prior to his retirement Rocco was employed at Lahey Clinic in Maintence for 20 years. In his free time Rocco loved spending time with his family especially with his grandson. He was a caring, great, and loving father and will be missed deeply. He is survived by his six children, Joann Carter-Hassam and Jamie Hassam and their son Hunter, Kevin Carter and his wife Deb, Rocco Carter Jr. and his wife Julie, Jimmy Carter and his wife Pam, Paul Carter and his wife Jennifer, and Roxanne Carter; his sisters Dolly, Josie, and Sandra; as well as several grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Rocco was predecased by his sister Mary Carter. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, on FRIDAY, January 2nd from 11 until 1 PM. Burial will be held privately.
