LOWELL-Gardner C. Gill, 82, died Thursday, February 20th, at Greenbriar Nursing Home in Nashua, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Doris (Roy) Gill, who predeceased him in 1999. Gardner was born in Chelmsford, MA on August 15, 1931, a son of Hilda (DeLahaye) and Jesse Gill. He received his education in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School. Later, he proudly served his country during the Korean War, as part of the US Army, until being honorably discharged. For many years Gardner was employed as a Mechanical Assembler at Raytheon, Photon and Itek. Gardner loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping at his favorite campsite in Wells, ME, wintering in Destin, Florida and spending time on the beach. But more than anything he enjoyed the time he shared with his loving family. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his 5 children, David Gill and his wife Darlene of Center Harbor, NH, Peter Gill and his wife Denise of Hudson,NH, Joyce Campbell and her husband Peter of Dracut, Matthew Gill and his partner Rafael of Lawrence and Steven Gill of Lowell; 8 grandchildren, David Jr., Derrick, Danny, Dylan, Jennifer, Shauna, Dustin and Rachel; as well as several nieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invites to pay their respects on SUNDAY February 23rd from 2-6 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. Cremation will follow. Burial in the spring in Edson Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
