DRACUT- Martha D. Eadie, 90, well known resident of Dracut, died Friday, January 24th at Town and Country Nursing Center.
Martha was born in Lowell on April 20, 1923. She was the beloved daughter of the late John Eadie and Martha (Lenz) Eadie.
She grew up on her family farm, Eadie’s Apple Orchard in Dracut.
Despite her extreme handicap, Martha excelled in knitting and weaving and especially enjoyed making baby outfits. She also loved to talk to friends on the phone and every Saturday morning she would be a faithful caller into WCAP Warren Shaw Radio Show. She enjoyed playing Bingo and scratched a scratch ticket every day.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, her good friends Norma Taplin and Anna Corey both of Dracut; and her many friends at Town and Country Nursing Center.
She is the sister of the late Charles Eadie and John Eadie.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut on Tuesday, January 28th from 9 until 11 AM. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11 AM. Spring burial in Hildreth Street Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu flowers, dontations may be made in Martha’s name to the Lowell Humane Society 951 Broadway Street, Lowell MA 01854.
