DRACUT, MA- Georgia “Joy” (Vassilakos) Pascoe, 88, of Dracut Centre, died peacefully at her home on Monday, June 8, 2015. She was the wife of the late Roy E. Pascoe. Born in Lowell in 1926, Georgia was the daughter of the late Harilos and Katina ( Kourkoulakos) Vassilakos. Joy graduated as a U.S. Cadet Nurse from Lowell General Hospital Nursing School. She served as a Navy Wave at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland. She worked at Lowell General Hospital for many years and retired as Head Nurse in the Oncology Unit. Joy is survived and will be deeply missed by her four children, Philip Pascoe and his companion Darlene Zagorites of Naples, FL, Lee Pascoe and his companion Aline Roy of Lowell, Mark Pascoe of Dracut, and Cathy Pascoe and her husband Ed Stevens of North Hampton, NH; her sister, Irene Lelos and her husband John of Lowell; her sister-in-law Effie Vassilakos of Lowell: three grandchildren, Jamie Pascoe (Cheryl), Jeff Pascoe (Julie) and Megan DeLucia (Nick): 8 great grandchildren, and many dear nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Joy was predeceased by her two sons Gregory and Peter Pascoe, and her siblings, Pat Payne, Matina Page, and Greg and Nick Vassilakos.
