DRACUT- John Pantazopoulos, 73, died Monday, January 19, 2015 at Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Ekaterini (Tsipounis) Pantazopoulos with whom he would have shared 45 years of marriage on March 1st. John was born on October 9, 1941 in Filiatra, Messinias, Greece. He was the son of the late Konstantinos and Panagiota (Kiriakou) Pantazopoulos. John was educated in Greece and received his Bachelor’s degree in Athens. Prior to his retirement he owned and operated Winner’s Pizza in Tewksbury for many years. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his son Konstantinos “Dino” Pantazopoulos of New York; his sister, Anastasia Paganis and her husband Antonios of Arlington, MA; as well as relatives in Greece. John was predeceased by his son George Pantazopoulos on April 23, 2007. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respect at The Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Dracut on THURSDAY, January 22nd from 9:30 until 11 AM. His Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM. Interment in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s name to the Building Fund for The Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 1160 Mammoth Road, Dracut, MA 01826.
