LOWELL- Doris A. (Dion) Poisson, 78, died Friday evening, May 2, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Normand Poisson. Doris was born in Lowell on April 18, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Dion and Delia (Boudries) Dion. She received her education and was a graduate of St. Louis Academy. Prior to her retirement, Doris was employed as a claims clerk for the Department of Employment Services. In her free time she enjoyed reading, listening to music, and had many excursions with her sisters to Foxwoods, yearly trips to York Beach, ME, and many cruises. But her most cherished time was spent with her loving family. She is survived by her three daughters, Norma J. Clark of Billerica, Julie Philoon and her husband Jamie of Lowell, and Laura Imasogie of Lowell; her sister Eleanor Gordon; as well as her six grandchildren Nathan Reilly, Brandon and Katherine Clark, and Elijah, Ethan and Evan Imasogie and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Rudolph Albert Dion and her sister Janet Young. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut on Wednesday May 7th from 4 until 8 PM. Her Funeral will take place from the funeral home on Thursday, May 8th at 8:30 AM followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Margaret’s Church in Lowell at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Doris’ name to The Circle Home (formerly the Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Lowell) 336 Central St, Lowell, MA 01852.
