DRACUT- Maureen A. (Despres) Stott, 69, died Monday, April 21st, at Lowell General Hospital- Saints Campus. Maureen was born in Lowell, MA on November 23, 1944, a daughter of the late Edward Despres and Annette and Raymond Lussier. She was educated in Lowell and a graduate of Lowell High School. Maureen’s life was dedicated to her family, who she loved so much in addition to many years as a loving foster mother, as well having a love for animals. Maureen is survived and will be deeply missed by her longtime life partner, Mary Masson of Dracut; children, Deborah Balch and her fiancé Edwin Mulligan of Fitzwilliam, NH, Brenda Byron and her husband James of Hudson, NH, Michael Stott of Tulsa, OK, Steven Stott and his wife Jennifer of Pelham, NH and her adopted son, Fernando Masson of Dracut; sister in-law, Lorraine Despres of Dracut; 5 grandchildren, Sandie Halko and her husband Zachary, Crystal Maio and her husband Torin, Robert Byron, Jason Balch and his wife Kate and Kaytie Balch; as well as 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, James E. Stott Jr., and her brother Robert Despres. ARRANGEMENTS: Relative’s and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4-8 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, April 23rd at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. A private ceremony to be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
