DRACUT- Joseph A. Pennachi, 85, died Friday, March 14th, at Lowell General Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of June A. (Smith) Pennachi, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Joseph was born in Newport, RI on April 17, 2014, a son of the late Candida (Labore) and Luigi Pennachi. For 20 years Joseph proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, during both the Korean War and Vietnam. After his retirement and honorable discharge, he worked for the Civil Service at Hanscom Field in the Commissary, Propeller Shop, and later in supply pickup and delivery. In addition to his wife, June, he is survived by his five sons Joseph, Michael, Richard, Edward and Ernest Pennachi; as well as 5 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Theresa, as well as his siblings Dominic, Anthony, John, Americo, Angelo, Teresa, Modesta, Gertrude and Madeline. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on MONDAY, March 17th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave, Dracut. His funeral will take place from the funeral home on TUESDAY, March 18th at 8 a.m. with his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9 a.m. in Ste. Margurite D’Youville Parish, Dracut.
