**PLEASE RUN WEDNESDAY WITH PHOTO** DRACUT- Robert A. Marvin Sr., 66, died Monday, February 24, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Claire R. (Rainville) Marvin. Robert was born on May 17, 1947 in Lowell. He was the son of the late Stanley R. Marvin and Jeannette M. (Dupuis) Marvin. He graduated from Dracut High School and was active in Football, Basketball & Track. He Continued his studies in Computer Science at Fitchburg State College. He proudly served his country when he enlisted in the United States Marines until he was honorably discharged in 1967. Prior to his retirement six years ago, he was employed at Raytheon in the Missile Systems Division as a computer systems engineer for 40 years. In his free time he enjoyed gardening, working on computers, and family cookouts. His most cherished time was spent with his family, who he loved unconditionally. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Michelle D. Marvin of Dracut, Kimberly Richard and her husband Charles Matthew of Dracut, and Robert Marvin Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Dracut; his brother Ronald Marvin and his wife Cynthia of Becket, MA; his sister Theresa Tenczar of Pelham; his sister-in-law Judith Marvin of Dracut; six grandchildren Kyle and Kaitlyn, Breanna and Emily, and Heidi and Ian; his dog Max; as well as his life long friend Bob Monahan and several nieces and nephews. Robert is predeceased by his brother Raymond Marvin. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, MA on Thursday, February 27th from 4 until 8 PM. His Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, February 28th at 8 AM followed by his funeral mass in St. Mary Magdalen Church, 93 Lakeview Avenue, TYNGSBORO, at 9 AM. Spring burial in Oakland Cemetery, Dracut.
